Summary
Cinematic dancing darlings Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are accompanied by a score created by the incomparable Irving Berlin, creating another box office sensation.
Astaire is a Navy man who is on shore leave in San Francisco and determined to rekindle a romance with former girlfriend Rogers. He is soon helping her re-vamp an old ship into a nightclub and aiding in her sister's (Harriet Hilliard) relationship with a naval officer played by Randolph Scott. Rogers and Astaire are in top form performing some of their most cherished numbers such as: "Let Yourself Go," "I'm Putting All My Eggs in One Basket," and "Let's Face the Music and Dance." This film is notable as well for two small players on their way to stardom in Hollywood – Betty Grable and Lucille Ball.
