Summary
Osvaldo Venturi is certainly among the most unsung film poster artists. Because most of his work was done in Argentina in the 1940s and 1950s, his posters are just now starting to appear in the US. This is certainly one of the most difficult to find of all his works, with a short print run. It was for a "documentary" exploitation film with a gender-bending theme: "Hombre o Mujer?" ("Man or Woman?"). The hype on the poster says there was separate seating for seniors and over-18 men and woman. It's a direct tribute to Venturi's talent that even with an exploitative theme, he still turned in a fascinating and erotically charged image that rose far above the quality of the film it portrayed.
